I haven't touched mine, but I would like to put a Patriot sear in it.
Right now I am around 4 lbs after using for 15 years so I don't know that the Patriot would help me a whole lot.

A patriot spring will drop the pull significantly. I have one in an 870 youth and love it. I picked up another 870 a couple weeks ago. Tried to order a patriot spring from Barnes and couldn't get them to answer the phone. The payment section of their website wasn't working properly. I wound up ordering an 870 competition spring from Midway instead. It's supposed to be 3#s so it should be about the same as the patriot.
