Saw the Boss yesterday

Need another deer for the freezer,eased into a lockon before daylight wasn't there long when i heard a bird shuffling in a tree . As the woods woke up I was zoned in on all the turkey talk going on. One old bird had the single coarsest yelp i've ever witnessed!! When the boss hen finally pitched she hit the ground 40 yards away, all the rest rallies on her, man o man the turkey talk going on. Then a long beard pitched into the mix, slyly saddling up to a hen, when here came the Big Boss. No fall turkey season in Arkansas, was never offered a shot with the recurve, but man what an enjoyable morning. They eventually eased out of sight, but i could hear them for hours. I finally slipped out, what an enjoyable morning.
