We can pay out welfare to some sorry good for nothing that has never contributed in any way to our country other than sucking it dry, but we cant spend money on something to help our fighting men and women heal mentally. We can pay over 45K a year to keep a murderer alive on death row for 20 years, but not for a dog. Im the son of a war vet, a brother n law to two active duty mulitple deployment vets, and friends to many more. PTSD is a real disease, and this is a digraceful act by our government.

And no...I didnt read the whole article, i was to pissed after the first couple paragraphs.

I say whatever a veteran needs that is legal we need to give it to them.
The VA constantly gives vets the shaft and it needs to be addressed.

Exactly Right. I stopped going to the VA along time ago. It was a joke, the welfare recipients got better care than anyone at the VA could ever ask for.

My wife's grandfather was a proud marine who wanted to make a career in the military. Due to having diabetes and blood pressure problems in his 20's he was medically discharged. He utilized the VA for his medical treatment later on in his life. I witnessed some of the most sad and deplorable examples of treatment to our veterans. He spent months in our local VA.  There was very little care for the ones who deserve the best. Matter a fact, locally there was 2 VA employees arrested for stealing veterans jewelry and pawning it. It makes my blood boil!

I heard a brief news article on conservative talk radio last night about a convicted felon in prison getting "sexual reassignment" surgery while serving time for killing his wife.  This is being done on the taxpayer's dime.  I'm guessing some of his inmates might have done it for a lot less money...  It's called a shank.
Lights Out custom calls - what they're dying to hear!

In my opinion military and retired public servants like police officers, teachers, fireman are the only people my tax money ought to go to for support.

As far as convicted felons, rapist, molesters, etc. exactly $8.99 should come out of my tax money each year. That's exactly enough for a 50 round box of 22 caliber bullets. I believe in capital punishment, eye for an eye.

I read somewhere that the cost per inmate is 46k a year to keep a fellow in prison. I also read somewhere that a mother of three averaged getting about 48k a year in welfare...and it paid for her to get fake boobs. It's sad to me, because right now both of those figures are more than my salary that has taxes taken out of it to help pay for them. We are a backwards country right now, it ease my mind reading about how many of y'all share the same feelings.

I watched documentary about a month or so back and they are expecting a shortage of doctors to deal with the veterans returning from Afghanistan with PTSD.
They said that the shortage is going to be felt primarily in the psychology field.
They are going to need more to deal with the vets that are returning home with PTSD.
