It is with sadness that I convey the news that long time family friend, Mr. John Byrne, passed away yesterday.
Mr. Byrne was a well known Bedford area cattle farmer and the breeder of the Appalachian Turkey Dog.
He was also one of the finer gentlemen that I ever had the pleasure of knowing.
R.I.P. my friend and may you and your dog Junior team up once again to chase endless flocks of turkeys along fall colored hardwood ridges.

My condolences to you and his family.

Turkey Beard

That's a name that every turkey hunter will recognize as well as his advancement that he's made to the sport.  May he rest in peace.
