For me turkey calls are a tool for hunting.   I myself wouldn't pay 1/10th that for a call when I know it's not going to make me a better caller or hunter.   But if someone want's to dish out that kind of money, more power to them.

They'd never get that kind of money out of me. Neil Cost, Neil Armstrong, Niel McCoy...It don't matter.. ;D
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

I have two of them. But they were bought in the 80s for 100 bucks. To collectors they are worth the money. To me they are a piece of turkey history

Insane!

Just because thats their asking price doesn't make it worth that. I could offer my truck for $70,000, doesn't mean thats what I'll get... and likely I won't.

Check out the three books on eBay written by Neil Cost! $1500!!!

Turkeyman

I've got a Cost box call I bought from him in 1979. Paid $29 for it at the time; seemed like a lot of money. After "losing" it in the woods several times where you have it laying beside your calling tree then go back looking for it I put it in retirement. It'll be my grandson's in a few years.

Its a matched set , rare - so it is more $$$

The going fair market price determines what they are worth and by the looks of it , they are indeed worth that - they are not making any more , and you can expect the value to keep going up and up

Mr. Cost was a very nice man , very friendly and generous - and knew his stuff when it came to wood selection and construction - I liked him allot, and he was a very unique individual that was always game for a good talk about on the many aspects of making turkey calls -

I wish I had 3000 laying around. I would have those 2 in my safe as well.

$3000.00 will get you a good used tractor some seed, you can make a good food plot and take the $50.00 left over and buy a box call off this site that sounds just as good or better. just thinking

Exactly, and rightly so!
