Wow what a pile of birds. Congrats on a great season. I am truly jealous.

It is to bad you didn't know what those mushrooms were because next to the morel they are some of the best eating you will find. They are called chicken mushrooms or sulfur shelf mushrooms. No lying they taste like chicken. If you look them up on-line you will find there are no mistakable look alikes so you can't go wrong. They usually don't grow on the ground like that so there must be a log just under the surface they are feeding off of.
