First Turkey!!!! Upstate NY

Hey guys shot my first turkey on the second day of NY's season.  8" beard and 3/4" spurs. Shot him at about 30 yards using my SBE 2 and 3" winchester XRHD #6 shells. What a thrill it was. I have shot Antelope, bear, many deer and this made my heart pound and shake just like all the others did. Cant wait to do it again.

Based on his spurs and beard length he's probably a two year old.  But a turkeys age is just a guess at best.

Congrats brother....thats a good bird....you know Turkey hunting is alot like elk hunting...some hunters have come unglued when a old gobbler or elk comes running and then screams in your face....you did good...Thunderbolt
