Picked up a 535 with 24 inch barrel.   I Shot the factory Mossy 670 with Win HV 5's and 6's both 3 and 3.5'' Both with poor numbers at 35- 40 yards.  What Choke/load should i give try next?

On my 535 I polished the barrel and put in a Indian Creek .660.  Shooting 3.5" Hevi Mag Blends, I can put about 200-210 in a 10" circle at 40 yards.  Hevi 3" 2oz #6's was getting in the 180's.

I have a 535 with the turkey barrel and the waterfowl barrel. It may help you a lot to "deep clean" the bore and I'd try that before investing in another turkey choke. If that does not help, you have all kinds of choices.

With the Winchester HV shells and that gun most of my readers are seeing their best patterns with the SSX turkey choke. The second choke that is working very well for them is the Hevi-13 turkey choke.

I've seen my best results with the 3" HV shells and #6 shot with the SSX.

I hope that helps some.

Thanks,
Clark

I have deep cleaned but have not polished.  Been reading good reviews about the TG SSX.  I'm going to polish the barrel and try the SSX.  Thanks for the replies
