I've noticed that my hen decoys seem to have alot of reddish pink on them and kind of look like transvesturkeys. Does anybody else think the same? If so, do you gray out the colors?
thanks

I have always adjusted the coloring on the heads of the decoys I get. Considering that the origin of much of our gear is from China, they may be able to sew and assemble it just fine, but I doubt that any of them have ever seen a wild turkey in real life. They are using painting patterns from God knows where and don't really know when they are painting them the wrong colors.
Cheers!

Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.

Ditto. I always hand paint my dekes.
That ol' tom's already dead. He just don't know it yet .... The hard part is convincing him.
Are you REALLY working that gobbler, or is HE working YOU?
