Just a guess, but I'd imagine Cabela's got a better price on the 2 ounce loads due to volume buying.
An extra quarter ounce of lead in the 2.25 ounce shells hardly justifies an extra $8.00 per box over the 2 ounce loads.
I'm betting the 2.25 ounce loads were bought in a smaller quantity, or we bought later after ammo prices increased.
Either way, those shells will probably give you fits due to the Flite Control Wad. I've wasted countless hours of my time and ammo trying to get those FCW shells to pattern in my gun.
I gave up after testing 7 different chokes and sold my remaining stash of the ammo.
