Straight Rifled Choke Tube

I picked up a Remington Straight Rifled Turkey Super Full Choke tube ,  about 5 years ago at Gander Mountain in there clearance bin for $5.00, it mic. at .665, I was wondering if anybody has one or seen one and hows its shoots, I have't shot it yet. I have a TruGlo by Bansners ported .665 choke tube that shoots just great and I picked it up on clearance at WalMart for $10.00 about 11 years ago.

I have heard of them but dont know much about them . probley make a good lead shot choke .

That choke was good but nor super for me.My guess is that it should handle the Fed FC lead #6 loads well. It may be a winner for the fed HW #7s but it is a lead only choke.

They're straight rifling lands...not spiral.  They're supposed to keep the wad from spinning.  I'm not sure how much a wad will spin anyway.

I killed a nice gobbler with one years ago when they first came out. Mine shot a nice pattern with the "Old" Federal Premium 3.5" 2 1/4 oz. of #4 out of my Rem 870 SM 23" barrel. To this day that bird remains the only one I ever killed that did not move at all after the shot. He went straight down and never even disturbed the leaves under him! Range about 30 yards. IMO it's a good choke. I still use it from time to time.
