I'm wanting to buy this gun to test and have for a very light weight turkey rig.  The problem is that i've had Benelli's in the past and just could not get them to pattern worth a hoot.  I've spent countless hours and dollars on loads and chokes but just couldn't find the right combination.  I know their barrel ID's are very tight compared to most other companies so maybe this is the issue but not sure.  Anyway, has anyone found a combination with this gun that would make for a decent turkey taker?  If i buy this gun i was hoping to shoot Hevi-13 #6's in 3" shell and 2 oz of shot.   Wouldn't be opposed to #7's but a little concerned with that size pellet.  This gun would be a 40 yard and in weapon for me.  Thanks

you talking about a 12 or 20? just asking with the 3-2-6 load you said you wanted to try as that is a 12 gauge load.

with the 20 i would try the numbers 7s, they will do fine under 40 yards.

Saw the M2 and a 555 tube from IC , or PG will make the Turkeys wish they had a  :OGturkeyhead:

Sorry it's actually 1.24 oz load I believe in 3" 20 gauge.

Federal Heavy Weight has a 1 1/2 oz load in 20 ga.

some people have been puting up good numbers with that load. I think the federal load is a better load if you can get it to shot for you.

allchokedup has one with an indian creek choke.  He's taken a few birds with it and I took one with it as well... great shooting gun.  Was proven to be very accurate and a great pattern.  I believe we've been using Hevi #7's with it

Here's a pic... shot my first turkey with it

I've had really good luck with the M2 20ga IC .555 Choke and Nitro 3" Straight #7's.

Super fun gun to carry and hunt with.....couldn't be happier!

Coolie

Any body shot a 26'' 20 gauge nova with the .575 hevi-shot choke?

Well just shot my new M2 today with Federal HW #6 (decent) and Hevi 13 #6 (great).  I Love this gun......  :turkey2:

I'm using a Carlson .675 tube and averaging around 120 pellets at 40 yards and 100 or so at 45yds.  Now those numbers dont sound huge but thats pretty darn good for a 20 gauge at those distances.  I then used exact sized turkey head targets and get from 10-20 hits all in the head and neck at 40.  Very deadly setup.  Just need to be on target cause overall pattern size is smaller than my Beretta 3.5" 12ga that puts 210-215 #6 Heavy 13's in same 10" circle at 40 yards.  Its a beast.
