Tegfans post   http://oldgobbler.com/Forum/index.php/topic,1889.0.html    reminded me of this gobbler my hunting buddy and I found on the farm we hunt. It looks like it bailed out of the roost and slammed into a forked tree.We took pics then cut the tree down for some close ups. 12 inch beard and small spurs. I had posted this before but it was lost to the great meltdown.

This is how we found him

After we cut the tree down

Hard to tell which old gobbler is uglier

My buddy Greg.

Incredible. I might have to have one mounted like that!

Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.

Gobble!

BamaStrut

I hate it when stuff like that happens.

VA_Birdhunter

what a way to go! Thats crazy.  I grouse hunt a lot and have seen some grouse that has die by flying into limbs.  I actually killed one that had a huge splinter from a limb still stuck in it.
