In Tennessee the daffodils are in full bloom as is the flowering Quince and the Buckeye flower pods are swelling, but today I saw the truest harbinger of an early spring. Both a male and female Bluebird were on and in my Bluebird box which has produced two-three clutches for the last twenty-five years. Last year they started checking out the box the 2nd week of March, and I had hatchlings in the box the first week of April. I've had birds gobbling the previous two Saturday's I've scouted. It won't be long!!!
