Does anyone on here have any experience with the Reminton 887? I saw one today with a 22" barrel and it looked pretty sharp.

I have never shot one, but they felt terrible to me when I tried one in the store. Personally I would go with the 870 SM if you want a 3.5" Remington.

All the reports that we have ever had here on OG about them is that their POI/POA is so far off that the owners dump them for another gun.

Interesting to find that Remington actually makes a gun that isn't a shooter. Thanks for the heads up.

I shot that gun at the Grand American Trap Shoot Championship a couple of years ago with trap loads. That gun was a well broken-in model and functioned perfectly.

It did not fit me well and felt a little bulky in my hands, so I was not overly impressed with it.

Unfortunately, I've just not heard much positive about it in the last 2 years.

Thanks,
Clark

Thanks to everybody for the insight.

RUN JohnnieB, RUN.  Do a quick search on this site about the 887, and I doubt if you will read anything positive about this clunker which isn't worthy of the Remington name.

The POI was about a foot low for me at 40 yards.
