Plan on shooting a Jelly Head .670 out of my Browning Maxus. What shell should I use Mag Blend or Heavy Shot #6's. Both of these shells will be in 3 1/2 inch.

The only way to know for sure what will work best is to try them both, or other shells for that matter, out of your gun.  I good starting point would be to search this site and look at other's patterns with your combo.  That is what I did before I bought shells in college.  I was too broke to try a bunch of different ones.  There are so many pattern pics on this site that you should be able to find something.  Just a starting point.

The Hevi #7's should throw a wicked pattern from that combination. :turkey2:

Put "Mag blend" in the search box..All kinds of topics come up on Hevi shot and choke combos. You could spend hours reading.

I'd go 6's over the mag blend. I played with the MB and it seems like it's 90% plus of 7 shot in the target, but without the high 7 like numbers. I'm hunting with the straight 7's this year.

I shoot both in 3.5".

I will go with the straight 6's or even 5's if I think a long shot is possible.

Out to 40, both are pretty good...

I shoot both but with a  835 and I prefer mag blend, but if the patterns are similar I would use the mag blend over the 6 shot.
