Here is what my wife walked in with this afternoon ...to say I was surprised is an understatement ...9 wks old, 17#.  Now to find a fitting name..female...pretty pup already fetching and bring back nicely.  Just gotta figure out how to train more somehow

Awesome! I used a couple different dvd's to train my pup. I've used Chris Akin "duck dogs basics", and I really want the "Wild Rose Way" with Mike Stewart. Those are the two I would recommend.

I'd have to side with moore on the name. Something to do with St. Valentines or a nickname from your wifes past since she got you the dog. Maybe "Saint", even though most Lab pups arent much of a Saint after they start tearing up whatever they find. Beautiful pup. I wouldnt trade my lab for anything.
