Are there any bookworms on here?  I go through spurts where I like to read a lot, then I will ease off for a little while, I am open to any suggestions yall may have.  I know everyone is going to recommend all the Tom Kelly books and Tenth Legion, but I am looking for something not turkey-related right now.  Some recent books I enjoyed and would recommend are:
The Alchemy of Air -Thomas Hager-- about the development of nitrogen fertilizer and chemical warfare.
The Tipping Point -Malcom Gladwell-- how little changes have major impacts, sometimes.
The Disappearing Spoon -Sam Kean-- popular history of chemicals in the periodic table, full of stories.
Emperor of All Maladies -Siddhartha Mukherjee-- history of cancer.

and the more lighthearted fiction:
The Litigators- John Grisham
Lincoln Lawyer Series- Michael Connelly

Here are a couple recommendations:
The Old Man and the Boy- Robert Ruark
The Broker- Brad Meltzer

Just a couple great light readings. I love to read but haven't had much time lately due to work. Thoseare just a couple off the top of my head. Ill think of more later.

Several turkey books that are not how to, just stories about hunts.

Can't remember the title, but the book by Coach Gibbs

Usually when I start a book I will finish it in a day or 2. Got the Kindal on my Droid and read several books sitting in a tree stand woods goat hunting.

Any of Robert Raurk's books, hunting in Africa during the 50's and 60's.  I especially liked the Honey Badger.
Brad Thor, he writes a great thriller about Terrorists.
As said by someone else Vince Flynn.
John Sanford and his prey series, you might lock your doors after reading them.(his locations for Mpls and St. Paul are very accurate.).

X2 on The Lone Survivor. One of the best books that I have ever read. I also like Stephan Hunter. His Bobby Lee Swagger stuff is way good. His book, Point of Impact is what the movie, The shooter, is based on.
