Anyone ever visit the Biltmore Estate in Ashville NC. My wife and I were there several years ago and that place is unreal especially when you consider the time in which it was built. My daughters 8 years old now and really into castles and such. I think we'll take a trip down next month and let her see it, I'm sure she'll be blown away. If anyones ever in that area it's well worth the effort to see it.

Hey Todd

My wife has been wanting to go there at Christmas. One of these days we're going. I hear it's awesome !  :icon_thumright:

I've been twice.

First time was against my will, as I usually don't overly enjoy stuff like that.  Had a great time though, very cool place to check out.

I'd advise anyone that hasn't been there before to take the guided tour.  Definitely worth it to hear some of the history along with seeing it.

Ricky I'm sure that would be a great time to go

Matter of fact my Grandmaw works there.

If anyone is planning on going soon, PM me. I might be able to hook you up.

Do the horse drawn carriage ride.  It is a bit expensive but it is beautiful and you will see all types of wildlife.  They take you up to a high point in which you get a great view of the house itself.  Definitely worth the extra money.  Your little girl would love it!

I've been there 3 times and driven by on I-40 more times than I can count.  Once when I was a little boy in the 60s, once when I was in college at WCU in the 70s and in 2007 with my wife on our way back east from our honeymoon in the Smokies.  In addition to touring the house, definitely also go to the gardens and winery.
