A very hurtful truth

In the day and age of the internet many Ancestrol duck holes are being lost due to google earth and cyber scouting. I was taught old school, if you had ducks and duck holes you kept your mouth shut, you always hunt with the same trusted group of guys. it took years to be let into those circles. In recent years there is a new cult of duck hunters, that arent so "old school". They have very loose lips, like to hunt with a lot of people, have no issue hole jumping, and pretty much muck up duck hunting by doing a lot of dumb stuff.

Ive been posting pictures and videos on here to share my enjoyment of the sport with you guys, but from today forward I cant do that until after the season. You see, OG has been infiltrated by some scum sucking bottom feeding cyber scouters from the state of GA.  Word has gotten back to me that they have seen pictures from myself and another member on here and talk is flying. Sorry yall have to suffer.

Ill post up some pictures when its all said and done. So until that time, bust em in the beaks fellas.

Private land is even affected, driving up lease prices... Anyway, as tolerant as I used to be, I have given up on sharing photos of group kills.... There may be a shot or two from the camp house, or a retriever pic, but I will hardly ever post photos on public land!  Too many eyes out there....

I agree. People do run their mouths too much, trying to look cool or "In the know".

Never in my life have I encountered the amount of gunfire chasers, evesdroppers, and lazy Deadbeats that try to set up where all the shooting was the day before as I have this season.

It's no better over here in SC, its a shame.....what they need is a old school 4am duck blind beat down!

Since you are referring to me, let me claraify. I made comment about yalls post out of concern for cyber scouts. I hunt not too far south of y'all. It wasn't hard to figure out general area where y'all hunted. If you want to ruin your spots then go ahead and post pics of every trip, I just don't wanna see crowds where I have put in a lot of work to find.

Glad I live in PA, I think i'm the only duck hunter in the state!

Think there may be a little confusion goin on on this thread. But, in the world we live in now days, there are a lot of folks that troll the enternet forums lookin for an easy kill.

Yes there is some confusion. The op thinks that the "talk" going around was with intent to steal his spot.  It wasn't, but rather than opening his eyes to see he was shooting himself in the foot with his posts, he decides to start whining and name calling.

Dupree, have no idea who you are or where you are from. Your name is not in any of my posts, and I dont see any posts  from you advising me of such so im not quite sure where you are coming from, but your right, I broke my own rule on here because it was safe, but now I fixed it.

I hear ya buddy....cell phone pics are easy to get lat/longs off of...be careful of what ya post!

Unfortunately this goes on all over the country...I don't care where ya are...if people see you killing ducks...they will move in.  Even on private ground (eg: goose field hunting)

It's gotten pretty bad around here too...i feel for ya
Keep with your tight group or hunt alone, which I prefer.  Iowa is not a very duck rich state and with very little public access...you can imagine the compitition!!!

This is funny. Your name isnt in any of my post.......so unless your a scum sucking bottom feeding cyber scouter it wasnt directed at you.

Savduck, I told someone that has hunted with doug that yalls post were not good because of the ease a cyber scout would have figuring out the locations. Then today this was up. I thought it was directed towards me even though you don't know who I am, since im the one who started all the "talk". My apologies if you had someone in mind that you were directing it at.

Thanks for the tip off. Not directed at you. Our problem is on GON.

Im just like you. I havent had to deal with GON or Darrien drama because ive kept stuff secret. After the tip off, I did a little research. I noticed some interesting stuff. Somebody is  bringing GON and Darrien to us.

Its all good though. I heard the  local Audobon Society felt sorry for those poor birds and was gonna be out there Saturday dumping about 500 lbs of corn to keep them fed through the winter. i wont be anywhere near there with something like that.

Besides, this cold is gonna bring in some puddlers, so they can have the salt trash. Im after teal and mottled ducks.

I cut my teeth duck hunting with Carolina boys. It isnt my style, but Ive seen boats sunk, burned, and truck tires go flat over a duck hole disagreement. Thats a dying breed of duck hunter. Not many of them left as they are all getting up in age. And they NEVER kill anything.

If they were still in the marsh...this post probably wouldnt exist. They do their own policing.

I see this kind of stuff all the time, it works best!
