Pellet Counters Idea

I got to thinking about what might make the 10" "circle at 40 an easier endeavor. After seeing someone post a  glass circle I came up with this idea. Seems to me it would allow you to take advantage of the best portion of your pattern, by actually having a visual on your results; in addition you have a perfect template for tracing your circle for safekeeping! Not to mention the price is Right! Thoughts?

That really is a great idea. But the price for it is waaaay out of my league, especially right after Christmas and all.

                 I take it the link worked? I tried to cut and paste a pic, but joanne's website would not cooperate. PS: I remember my Grandma doing cross-stich and the wooden hoops she used....So another victory for the "Greatest Generation"!

Here's what I made. I went to Lowes and had them cut a piece of plestixglass 12"*12" and then scribed a 3" circle and a 10" circle. then you can use a water marker and count the shot. Then you can wipe it clean and reuse. Total cost about $10. I thought about making them but the shipping would kill ya.

I paid $15 total for my 2 10" glass circles.  They are perfectly cut and work very well.  I figured I woulld get 2 if I ever do break one.

Here's mine. Gobbler74 made it for me. It's made out of pexiglass, and has a 3" circle in the middle.
It works great, and I don't go to the patterning board without it!

Chatterbox, I have been looking for something like that and nobody around me does that...not even lowes!  I was looking to get a 20" with a 10" cut out of the center.  Not too terribly worried about the 3" as of now.  I like thay

I'm not into it big time like a lot of you guys, but my wife happened to have some dinner plates that are almost exactly 10 inch, which worked fine.

Look through a clear marker when zeroing your pattern the core will stand out..I agree its a matter of all in what you want.? I see quite a few patterns marked with solid templates that were well off of being marked center.

Jim, those that you've made are the best that I've seen anywhere. I had a couple made at a couple of different glass shops here and they are pretty rough.
