Well after Christmas i made my mind up that something had to be done! Sitting at my daughters Basketball game feeling so uncomfortable was getting to me. The only pants that felt good was sweat pants! So decided to slack up and start trying to get some exercise in. Since Christmas lost right at 20 lbs and feel alot better. Still like to lose 10 lbs but easier said than done. I've done it before but sure is hard sticking to it. Lets all give it our best shot!

Well, I'm happy to report some success this week after a couple of weeks of no weight loss. I weighed 212.4 pounds this morning, down from 215 last weekend. That in and of itself, isn't such a big deal, but this is the least I have weighed in at least 15, and more likely, 20 years. I lost down to about 214 early last summer, but gradually gained back to about 225, where I was when I started trying to lose weight again back before the first of the year. I hope, eventually, to get down close to 180. The last time I know for sure I weighed that little was 1989, the first year I hunted in Mississippi.

Congratulations to all of you who are having some success, and to those who aren't, don't give up!

Way to go man!! Keep up the hard work guys! I'm not really trying to lose weight but I could definitely clean up my diet. I could also post some workouts to possibly motivate some people and it would be a way to hold myself accountable for my own exercise goals. Anyway, I ran 6 miles of trails yesterday morning but I was a lazy bum today. Definitely should've done something today...

Thanks for the kudos but I have a tendency to back slide just when I think I got it made. In the past 30 years I have been down to 190 and up to 255-260.Back to 210 then back up to 240 .Its a struggle. As a recovering alcoholic I gotta say the booze was easier to stay away from.25 years and counting.

My brother was a recovered alcoholic as well, and in fact spent the last 40 or so years of his life as a substance abuse counselor and he once told me the same thing. He said with alcohol, you can avoid it completely, but we all have to eat, so conrolling what and how much is that much more difficult. Congrats to you on both counts. Neill

pullit

well I hit the scales this morning and dropped another pound.
I started at 262 on 1/16/12 and I am down to 250 on 2/15/12
Looks to be about 3lbs a week which would not get on the "Biggest Looser" but is a good safe amount to loose per week.
I will admit I sure wish it would all come off quicker.
