Our guide in TX laid the smack on a heck of a buck this week.  He hasn't taken a buck on his place in years and after seeing this big guy, he decided to give it a shot.  He said it took him a little over 3 weeks to finally seal the deal.

No high fences and no feeding program, just wide open sticker filled TX country side w/ a wheat or rye field here and there for the cows and plenty of tanks for the livestock.  So much for the bad drought killing the TX hunting this year.

We are headed out in two weeks for the rifle opener, so hopefully we can get on some nice bucks.

Green scored at 183 with 19 scorable points:

Y'all have a good one,

Wow! That is a stud of a buck. Good luck with the rifle hunt.. :fud:
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?
If attacked by a mob of clowns, go for the juggler.

:you_rock: Good luck on your hunt. That's a stud for sure!

TOAD for sure Ronny. Imagine what he would have been with a good wet year!

Yeah, no joke.  He would have been even more of a giant on a wet year.

Hope you kill his daddy Ronny!

Thanks fellas.  I just hope I can hold off the trigger.  It's hard for a Louisiana boy to let nice bucks run loose :D
