Gator Done

Filled my SC tag last Friday.   A true hog.  13 feet 600 pounds.

Watched him go under about 60 yards away then drifted to where we last saw him and started dragging a large treble hook on the bottom of the cove.  Third cast snagged him.  Then we eased him up close to the top and stuck him with a snare on the end of a stick that looks like a mechanical broadhead.  It opens up after entry and expands so you can't pull it out.  Then the fight starts.  Got another snare in him and pulled him close enough to get some shots in the head.  Took a total of 3 hours after we snagged him with the treble hook to where we pulled him into the boat.
