stilker, that pic has been one of my favorites for a long time.

The pic was taken where he dropped, the body of water behind me is called Gobbler Slough believe it or not and is located in Greene Co, Alabama.

A lot of great memories were made on that tract, lots! Ain't that right Flydown?  ;)

Thanks guys. I still kick myself to this day for not having a camera. All I had was my cell phone. This would make a great 8x10 for the wall.

Not much of a story really.  I heard him gobbling on the roost so I head his way. I knew where his hens were and I got on their side about 50 yards from him. One tree yelp, he flew out, took 3 steps and I blasted him.

1 3/8 spurs, public land. He was roosted in one of the big cypress trees. I got so close I could hear his feet walking on the limb. Luckily I had a big tree between me & him to help me sneak.
