Honestly one of my favorite woods.  Mine is more orange than pink.  Very tight-grained, dense domestic wood.  To me it's very resonant.  Makes a beautiful trumpet as you can see!

This does have a slight orange tint to it as well, definitely makes a fine trumpet. I believe you may have been the person who mentioned this wood to me?
