Seemed to have lost a discussion.  Guess ok for the inmates to run the asylum. Too bad.  One of the biggest issues for today's modern day public land turkey hunters.  There is no seniority system for public land. Free access for all.  Mocking the new hunters or others in the area shows an unbelievable lack of class not fit for an established forum.  Whishy washy censorship a big disappointment.

Seniority system for public land? I am "one of those young guys" at 27 years old, but this season was my 16th straight season of turkey hunting. Killed my first one at 11 years old and haven't quit since. I'd venture to say I have more experience chasing turkeys than most of the weekend warriors that are my "senior" on public land, so why should they get preference?

Public land is for the public. Old, young, experienced...and , yes, even dumb. I am personally against any kind of censorship even if it personally favors me. There are other ways to cut the crowds without reducing opportunities

I understand the situation but will adapt to it.  Will always challenge the elitist. No reason to sit back and see new hunters or any legal hunters, that includes influencers, mocked with impunity. IMO the new "ban culture" are the poster boys for selfish.

It's the guys that are speaking out against the commercial hunting of public lands that are selfish......not the ones who are hunting public lands for profit. $$

Having trouble understanding your point. What's the difference in the two? What exactly is your latest ban crusade? Having trouble keeping up. If you haven't noticed commercial hunting on public land has been going on for decades everywhere.  One of the most common types of hunting out west and that doesn't include Alaska were most of the commercial hunting is done on public.  Always has been always will.  These commercial guides don't work for free.   The influencers don't either.   
The times really aren't strange but they are different.  Adaptability is the key to a stress free life.

Your comparison of commercial filming on public land versus a commercial hunting guide on the same land has a fault. A commercial hunting guide is required to have a guide license, which are significantly more expensive than a regular license and insurance, another cost. To my knowledge where I live there are no attached financial requirements for filming on public land.

Why would there be? I can run up the road to a nearby WMA and film away with impunity.  Really have no objections if the filmers for profit are required some accountability in the form of a fee but that is a far cry from the "let's ban them dirty SOBs because they're attracting all these undesirable new people to my public land" we see here. Some need to Google the word PUBLIC and follow that Google with FREE ENTERPRISE. Basic high school civics.

Gotcha but with states like MS requiring the filmers to have a hunting license it's becoming a moot point No real reason for them to have insurance either that I can see.  IMO more states will follow MS in this. If nothing else to be a money maker. Maybe we'll see a commercial filming license.  Be $10.00 for a resident and $500.00 for a non-resident if current trends continue. The residents will whine about the $10.00.  The commercial guys will pay the $500.00 and write if off as a business expense
 
The goal of many is to eliminate an entire industry by banning the commercial filming on public land . Some are a banning bunch. It's their last resort to return us to the 1980s. Would hate for any of the numerous banning hopes to come to pass. I like my camo netting, decoys, and TSS in my.410. Just a few of the items some elitist frown on.
