Love my 410. They don't make the powder she likes most anymore. The new stuff she don't like as much. Time to see about an upgrade
Looked at SA-28, Viper G2, ultimately went SBE and I'll throw her in the line-up for duck & dove whilst lying to myself that my kids will need something to grow into. Tear-down is trivial. Full clean was just as easy as my Browning A5, because Browning ripped the specs pretty well. In fact, if they make a 28 in the future, I'll probably pick one up and give that one to the kiddos.
Got a Benelli SBE 3 28 gauge compact version, 26" barrel & put on:
- Tally MPR703 mount
- PA SLX 1x
- Nitro 518 Choke (crappy calipers say 516)

Now that the top covers come drilled & tapped, I'll pick up a spare top cover and just hot-swap them during the season so an optic can permanently live on one. I was a tad worried about wobble of the top cover but I paint penned a thin line over the top so I could eyeball any movement. As long as the mag cover is screwed in all the way, it's pretty gosh darn tight.
I plan to use this, this weekend in GA and only had 5rds of each. I'll run them with the factory full (crappy calipers say 515) after GA.
35yd Results. I'd honestly hunt w/ every dang one of em. But based upon below, I'm gonna grab some more Nitro 8500, 858 and Salt Creek 9x10 and step out to 45/50 to declare my barrel's favorite. Didn't want to be out there w/ only 5 of e/ on the tailgate before the hunt. You can more or less narrow down who's about to fall apart and who's gonna hang on worthy of attempting.
