Double with the Wife

Saturday it all came together after a week of almost no gobbling. We were blessed with 4 jakes squabbling with 2 toms and they all took notice of my passive jake decoy in mount position over the breeder hen decoy. It was quite a show. The 4 jakes were defending the pair as the 2 toms blitzed them, literally, spitting and drumming  and knocked them aside. Victorius, the 2 toms strutted around until they separated and we shot the " winners". Of course her bird was 3 pounds heavier than mine and beat my score by 2.6875 points, but what a show we saw. And as an insult, I forgot my tripod to video it. I had it with me for 7 days straight, until then. Awesome day. Good luck and God Bless all of you. Z

CONGRATS to both of you Z!  I use a white faced 1/4 strut jake over a laydown hen and the action it gets is amazing.  I've got video of 4 jakes wearing out that decoy so I can imagine, what you and the wife saw.  CONGRATS again!!
