I'm putting together an 870 youth to turkey hunt with and pass along to my grandson at some point, and I had it cerakoted patriot brown.  It actually looks better with the laminate stock that I thought it would, but I think it'll look better when I get the synthetic stock hydrodipped camo.

I have been debating on sending the wood off to be camo dipped or just leaving it like it is.
Any ideas one way or the other.

They are modified pretty heavily
Yildiz youth 20ga was dipped and cerakote by Carolina graphics
Trijicon RMR on a Sumtoy mount
Sumtoy chokes and it's got a limbsaver butt pad
It's light and short and shoots great

Yes. With Sumtoy chokes it shoots great. Factory chokes are pretty good
It's not a youth model. I cut about an inch and a half off the stock and put on a limbsaver butt pad
I'm probably going to start hunting with 28. Youth 20 is a little shorter barrel
Not sure what they cost now but I got these guns for $400 each so good gun for the $$

Yeah. The youth 20 kicks pretty good with heavy loads since it's so light.
If you haven't already get the limbsaver. It helps a lot.

28ga doesn't kick as hard but I would still do the limbsaver on it. I had the stock on my 28 cut down about 1 1/2 inches so my son had good LOP on it and put a limbsaver on it

These are hand loads out of Sumtoy chokes
Left 15 yards with lead 7 pheasant load
Right 40 yards with tss 9.5s hal load
