Houndstooth Antler tube calls

Seeing some of the tubes on here really got me interested in picking one up to tinker with.  I've used a Primos Snuff Tube a bit, but never liked the disc setup and not being able to customize it at all, so I started looking around here.  Everyone seems to make pot calls and quite a few make box calls, but not very many make tube calls, and Houndstooth's antler tube piqued my interest.

I have a ton of sheds laying around, so I contacted him about having one made and dug through the pile to see if I had one that would work.  I found a good one and shipped it off to see what they could do with it.  Well I surely wasn't disappointed!  The tube call not only looked and sounded great, but it was back in my mailbox in about a week.

His customer service was outstanding too.  I think we shot the bull about turkey hunting for about a half hour, and I've probably tallied 10 PMs from him with sound clips, tuning suggestions and advice on using it.

Last night I was finally able to get it just where I wanted to (I'm a tinkerer with all calls), and I can't wait to kill a big ol' longbeard with it.

Thanks again guys, its a great call that's an awesome collectable and soon to be turkey killer!

Awesome! That's a great idea to have one made from a shed or kill. Good luck with the call.

Lyle's antler tubes are great looking call's; and from the youtube clips they sound great too.

I guess you didn't read the nonwritten rule about posting about a great call, killing a great turkey, or getting a great anything, and not posting pics!!  Tisk, Tisk, on you!!

I know, I know.  Would love to post up pictures, but haven't mastered the art of the OG picture requirements yet.  Tried the whole photobucket thing without any success.  Here's to trying again...

Cool, it worked this time.  Maybe now I can get into the contest next year!

Here is the callmaker himself using one of his antler tubes.
