You may want to checkout the Tristar viper G2 turkey model. Basically the same gun and easier to find.

I hope you find one, I was years looking and just happend to stop in for ammo for another gun I had purchased that evening, used from a person i met up with and this gun was there looking for a new home. It's a fantastic gun.

I bought the Tristar Viper g2 Turkey as stated above pretty much same gun.

+3 .. I have both the SA-459 and Tristar.  They are the exact same gun.. likely made in the same factory in Turkey.   Actually like the Tristar better because it comes factory in Bottomland/ with Cerakote finish..

Thanks for the reply's, I've had friends that had other tri stars and weren't fond of their quality ..

Weatherby SA-459,  Mossberg SA-20, SA-28.. Tristar Viper... plus many other off brands like Escort, etc..are made in same factory in Turkey. All these guns are pretty much the same, with some little tweaks between them. I had owned 10 of them..  All the auto's have been good. In fairness though I only use them for Turkey hunting/ heavy leads.... no high round count on any of them.

I have to agree^, my father uses his 26" 20 gauge escort for ducks, deer and turkeys and has killed big bucks, lots of ducks and a handful of longbeards with no issues. I have a escort pump 20 ga and It's been flawless as well.

I wouldn't be afraid to buy a tristar 20 gauge,It from all acoounts is the same gun in a different finish. If I find one up here, I am buying it for sure.

If you're steering clear of the tristar based on their reviews, I'd recommend staying away from any of the Turkish made autos of this make. There's not a hill of beans difference amongst them. I'd owned an older H&R Excel Auto since time ago. Gun worked as it should've. Never had an issue. Sold it to my buddy for his dad. He's been punching everything with it from squirrels to skeet to geese.
