I haven't heard nearly as many gobbles as in past years either. However, I have gotten in more birds this year already than in past years. There definitely is no noticeable shortage, just a lack of talking.

They've been gobbling on the roost in the mornings where I hunt in NC and VA.  Heard several the first morning of youth day in NC.

Been on six hunts in my usual coastal GA public areas and have not heard a single gobble. Very unusual for this area at this time of the year.

Sounds like Alabama....they were quiet this year. I doubt I'll be back, I've got TN and hopefully a couple other states to hunt.
