Muskie03

Well I took my first double last tuesday morning! SWEEEEET!! It was tough. Weather was a HUGE factor. Then throw in the winter kill some of my properties had. But after 5 days of hunting and passing up one hard gobbling strutting jake that hung around for about an hour I laid down a pair of two year olds. Then found 9lbs 11oz of morels under one tree. caught my limit of trout twice, jumped in a tractor and chisle plowed about 500 acres. All before meeting Steve Thursday afternoon. We were "in them" friday morning. Litterally were surrounded by turkeys. Had one that steve couldn't see that was close enough to make you cry. they were spitting and drumming behind us gobbling and strutting out in front. Hens to the right jakes to the left. I still can't believe we weren't done in the first hour. Then after sitting in the rain for 8 hours on saturday steve let a stud of a two year old have it. We had dinner at a farmer friend of mine's house, had a couple of beers at Mauer Bro's Bar Est. 1890. and slept in sunday morning. Steve it was a blast. We'll do it again. Now I gotta get off this puter and go pound some posts. Catch ya later

pics and such when I eventually return.

If it eats I can catch it, if it bleeds I can kill it.
