April 18th i'll be heading back from CO to TN from a hunting trip. I was supposed to stop over in OK and hunt a few days but that fell through. Anyone have recommendations of places to hunt on the way? I do not have to be back to work until the 27th.

Oklahoma, Kansas or Missouri would be the logical choices considering geography. Normally I might lobby for my home state of Missouri, but your timing is off in that we open the 19th and the first 7 days is a one bird limit. That coupled with our 1:00 closing would, for me, make Kansas the best choice.

All day hunting, WIHA land plus some public areas. Do a little research, but you will probably need to concentrate on the north central to northwest part of the state. Safe travels and good luck.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
