Anyone willing to share how they clean their trumpet(s)? I bought pipe cleaners, would you use alcohol and run the pipe cleaner down the mouth piece?

Thanks

greentag

I never have cleaned inside the mouthpieces, probably wouldn't be a bad idea, but the outside renaissance wax is the best stuff I have seen for the wood, and I always polish the ferrules up after the season with some metal polish I have called wenol, they look brand new after you do that.

I agree with the waxing , never gave the mouth piece any thought  I'm the only that uses it , it's not like a mouth call

Every once in a while I will dip my MP (without lipstop) down into some alcohol. Probably wouldn't hurt the wooden barrel to do what you suggest, but I haven't tried that to date.

Pipe cleaners and isopropyl alcohol through the internals regularly.
A quality paddle caller will most run itself.  It just needs someone to carry it around the woods. Yoder409

I just use dry pipe cleaners

I do not worry about it. I do wax the outside.

Don't want to get that alcohol on the finished wood. It's bad on most every kind of finish; breaks it down, stains it, etc. I do wax the wood likes been said above but I've never cleaned anything internally. I do like Greg's recommendation about cleaning the mouthpiece. Other than that I just run it. If there's something noticeable I might would do something about it, but otherwise I just keep running.

I do not clean internals as I need to keep my immune system in tip top shape.

I do this. Make sure not to get it on finish. I wipe outside of mp with alcohol and then use Renaissance wax on outside

A good swig of your favorite adult beverage then blow some air through it.
