My oldest son was asking the other day if I would make some jerky.  I put 5lbs of breast in the dehydrator which dried down to under 2lbs.  I got the recipe from a member on this forum and it turned out perfect.  All 5lbs gone in less than 48 hours.

I always save a breast for making jerky. It's such a lean chunk of meat. No easier way to make jerky, slice it up when its half frozen and its mild flavor allows you to turn it into whatever you want. I always go for some kind of jalapeno flavor.

Wild Turkey of course.  And yup slice it half frozen.  Going to make more soon.

Any chance you'd be willing to share that recipe? Turkey jerky sounds great.

2 - cups worcestershire, 3 - teaspoons liquid smoke , 1-cup soy sauce, 4 - teaspoon onion powder, 2-teaspoon garlic powder, 1-teaspoon cayenne pepper, 4 - teaspoon black pepper, 1-teaspoon sea salt or regular salt, 4 - tablespoons drown sugar or you can use honey, 1- tablespoon maple syrup... you can add more drown sugar or honey ...just depends on your taste... same on the red pepper if you want some of it hotter...just adjust as you want....same with either more worcestershire or soy sauce...but don't add any more liquid smoke ...

This was for 5lbs of breast meat.  Let it sit in the fridge 12-24 hours.
