Just got my books from Tom Doc Weddle. I ordered both volumes from him. I'm excited to get into these books! Has anyone read them? Thoughts on book? Probably won't have time to get into them for a couple weeks

Both are very good reeds. If your a traveling turkey hunter in my opinion it makes them even better.

They are both on my list, have heard a lot of good about them.

Read them both.  Great books.  Go to YouTube and search Doc Weddle 49 and you'll see Doc.

Both are good reads. Written by someone with 3 US slams and probably close on a fourth. Been at the traveling turkey game since way before it was a fad.
If you make everything easy how do you know when your good at anything?

Excellent Books.  Read both of them before the season started

I have both, you will enjoy them.  I've had Doc at my house for dinner when he hunted nearby and been in camp with him a couple of times.  You learn quickly that he is a turkey man, but you don't hear from him how much success he's had at it.

I have both books and the single best summary I can make about them is that, of all the turkey hunting books I have (and I have quite a few), there are very few of them that I would ever read twice.  Doc's books are right at the top of the list of books that I have (and will again).

....Well written with great stories and information,....and best of all, not a single ounce of braggadoccio in them.  When folks ask me what books on turkey hunting I recommend, these two are at the top.

I've read both and hope he's working on Volume III.  Doc is for sure the "real deal". I've had the pleasure of meeting him while he was hunting nearby once.  I'd love to sit in camp with Doc, keep my mouth shut, and listen.

I also have both books and just finished book one for about the 10th time and starting on book two...again! Great books and a great guy! I've had the pleasure of spending some time with Doc in the swamp and look forward to doing so again! I'd recommend these to anyone who loves this sport!

Are these available from Doc?

I can only find them available from the publishing website.

And yet another vouch for Doc and his books. Own both. Best of all, he is as humble as can be.

I ordered direct from him, but you can find it on Amazon too.  I think I have an email address somewhere.  Seems like he signs them if ordered direct.  I suppose that doesn't really matter, but a nice bonus.

Awesome I'm real excited to get into the books! I saw the chasing 49 short film on Doc and I immediately messaged him on FB to buy his books.

He's definitely the real deal. From what I have heard from some folks is the he is a real down to earth guy too.

Hopefully I'll have some time to read them in the upcoming weeks! Been slammed at work.

Even though Doc is not the kind of person to want the attention or to boast, I was glad to see the chasing 49 story on him. Now maybe some will realize the US slam and traveling turkey hunting wasn't invented in 2018 lol
