Spurs, they are definitely not allowed on all national forest lands. Iam not exactly sure which lands you can ride them, because I don't have one.  But I do know for sure that the  people i know that got tickets were on a foot travel path off a main gravelroad on national forest property in VA.  They got a ticket for going around a closed bar gate on national forest with a motorized vehicle and being of state property a foot travel path that was not permitted to motorized vehicles.  They were told if the battery was not on the bike it would not have been a big deal.

I guess I misspoke.  I know of at least 3 were they are 100% legal on the entire area outside of any wilderness/WMAs.

I have one. Bought a RAD Rover...worth EVERY penny
My only complaint is the weight of the bike but it isn't like you're carrying it far.

1) How does it handle water and mud?
2) When riding where there are lots of fallen limbs, sticks and wood debris, do they get caught up in the gears and sprockets?

1) it handles water well...though I don't recommend soaking it at the drive motor(weather hub motor or mid-drive). It is super! In mud and like all slipppery mud though, it's slippery it's burst to get off and push if it's a long long way . Like, if your truck will spin sideways in it you will too...not that it won't go through it just fine, you just may fall off and bump scopes or damage a lot of equipment and your self.

2) it handles trails and debris fine. Sticks and even logs up to about 10". One thing I learned is it doesn't like briars, AT ALL, nor will you on it!  Not had anything go into the chain. It couldn't handle then again I'm using throttle so my chain isn't spinning because it's a hub driven bike.

If I had it to do again I'd still buy the RAD rover price point wise compared to rambo or some others. Mud drives are great but the chain always turns which sucks.

Here in Florida you need it to do the 4 mile in 4 mile out places to get away from yahoos. Mine will do roughly 40miles on a charge on pavement and half that in the woods. It's amazing where you can get with one. Florida is legal and considered a bike if under 20mph and pedal assisted.
