Filled my last tag Saturday with a really good mountain bird,  10 3/4 beard 1 3/16 and 1 5/16 spur, probably didn't weigh but 16-17 pounds.  Found him about 2/3 the way up a mountain gobbling at 9 something and killed him at 10 o'clock.  Hope this pics comes thru, haven't tried to post pics much.

Way to go.  Those mountain birds sure are tough to kill.  Congrats - and a dandy bird to boot.

Way to go!  In my neck of VA it stayed foggy most of the day until the afternoon when the skies opened up.  Hopefully you stayed dry!

Great hunt ... I traveled to Va to experience those mountains (beautiful country) in april...craig county... my buddy killed a 2 year old on the first day and worked a bird every day...I only heard one gobble the whole trip....nice job

I was down in Sussex County where I have some property and saw a lot of birds but they were henned up bad.It is hard to compete with the real thing late in the season. Did get a good dose of poison ivy though.
