Anyone have any experience with Charles Daily 520 SxS shotguns? I am wanting a newer SxS with screw in chokes and 26 inch barrels. Just wondering if they are a good gun or would a CZ be a better choice. I don't want to spend too much money on one. Thanks for any input

I can't speak to their SxS guns but a friend of mine has a few of their semi-auto guns and every single one of them has broken on him.  He and I both have CZ 22s.  He has a scout and I have a 452 american and it would be more than difficult to talk either one of us into getting rid of them.

Steer clear of the CD's. Trust me. As imported guns go, they might be the worst.

I had a Charles daily over under and the safety on it was scary!!! went off 3 times on safety in the only season I had it upland hunting.

U get what you pay for. Stay clear of them.  Worse than a maverick shotgun .

Both my brother and I had CD pumps. Between the two of us they cost us three longbeards and a coyote. The hammer springs are weak and would cause light strikes on the primer. Sent them back to be checked out, got them back and they told us nothing was wrong with them. I immediately sold mine. Honestly I probably would have got more satisfaction wrapping it around a tree, than putting the $125 I got for it in my pocket. Do not regret selling that gun for even a second.

My uncle got lucky with his semi-auto. Hasn't been a lemon, and he's hunted ducks and Longbeards with it for over 15 years with it. Granted, it's not a high volume gun.

I personally would not buy anything Charles Daly. I manage a sport shop and have had nothing but issues with any CD we have sold. They have always made things right, but it's a hassle knowing that not if, but when you are gonna be sending them back. Not my idea of quality. The CZ would be a much better choice in my opinion.

I have a CZ bobwhite 20ga.  It has been a great gun for me.  I just shoot roosters and quail with it.
