There is a bunch of good reading on this topic in the General & Pot Call Forums. You might do better posting this there.

#1 for me at the moment is Frogwood. Tough to beat.

X2, both great strikers. I got some from JLH yesterday, they are all great......can't go wrong......

I have several from each and could not name just one from each as some woods work better with different surfaces. I have Ipe and Hickory from both and they are both very good strikers, I am rather partial to Ipe strikers, I own 2 from Halloran as well and would like to get one from Harold Fowler as well. Choose one from each I like Jeff's Frogwood and Derrick's Tulipwood I do not have the last two woods from both but do intend to get a tulipwood from Jeff eventually, Derrick does not do Frogwood to the best of my knowledge.

I just got Jeff's Granadillo. Fantastic, plays on anything. Solid striker....

Jeff has a fantastic black and white ebony, the Cedar is great as well if you like something softer

Frogwood is the first one out of my vest right now, I'm going to order a couple extras in case I drop this one!

Shady valley birds

I love the frogwood I got from jeff, but I just got a snakewood from him and I love it. Brings the rasp out of anything the frogwood just sounds good on anything

I've found a Grand Slam Ipe an all round good striker on all surfaces with an ironwood my second choice.

This is truth right here. Lots of great striker makers and I have ran many. Clay Townsend strikers are the most consistant on multiple surfaces that I have ran across.
