Chicken farmer needed help

One of the farms I service has been having a serious problem with fox getting into one of many hen houses...I fixed him up in about 20 mins . This pair came in shot them both about 10 seconds apart..no more chicken dinners for them...or turky either .

6.5 creedmoor is what I used.

And yes she prolly did have pups somewhere.  Normally I would not shoot fox this time of year. But the farmer has lost alot of chickens in the last week or so.
I'll be heading back out there to see if any coyotes are coming in as well

Congrats on getting rid of some coop raiders.


I've not yet jumped on the Creedmore bandwagon but what's your experience with that thing on deer? Not trying to detract from your original post but I'm curious. Was shooting deer on CD permits a couple weeks ago and the fella was using one. I can ultimately say it wasn't impressive. Could be the bullet but the placement was good. Believe it was 120 gr hornady sst but not 100% on that at the moment. They covered way more distance than I'd like to see and a couple required some extra anchoring.

I shoot a 129 grain white tail load as I like to anchor them..and I do for the most part.
I've killed several deer with this and my other rifle in the same caliber. 3 of them fell right in their tracks and one was dead on the hoof and still managed to run 30 to 40 yards and fell over. All these were either heart or close to it. Shot placement is paramount.  I feel comfortable in taking a 175 to 200 yard shot and know I can make it happen. I do practice in the off season and predator hunting gives me the confidence in making a long shot if I need to . As for predators I try to keep my shots 135 yards or less as I use either thermal or night vision.
