Went out with one of the local commercial fishing guys here...he's the man when it comes to grouper fishing...the first pic is my largest red grouper...it went 18 pounds...the second picture is my largest gag grouper...it went 20 pounds...the others are just more fish from the day...

I believe those are mangrove snapper. some people call them black snapper not red snapper,still some fine looking fish.!!!!

No...they are grouper not snapper...the snappers we catch in NC are vermillion and silver snapper
