Cox has a big following.
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands, love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper; his hands remember the rifle.

Not being in the know about call makers, why is this box call so highly valued?

Lets see..... the seller is from Memphis sooooo I wonder if that is Frank himself trying to catch someone stupid enough to pay $6500 for one of his calls.

Good looking box call but $29.00 shipping is ridiculous :TooFunny:  :TooFunny:

Yeah, I 'spect that steep shipping charge might deter most buyers. ;D

Ya' think?

The man makes a pretty call.  I heard and examined one of his "in-high-demand" trumpets against an unknown call maker buddy of mine and my friend's trumpet was at least as nicely crafted and sounded better.
So, yes he's talented, but he ain't worth $29 shipping! :TooFunny:

That's what I thought.  You couldn't give me one of his calls.  And that's all I will say about that.

Scout24

There was another one, over 100 years old, that sold on ebay for $27,000 about 2 months ago.

Hognutz

How much was the shipping on that one??
May I assume you're not here to inquire about the alcohol or the tobacco?

Yeah, I was watching that one. It was a Gibson that was decorated for a lady. I offered him $26,050 but he wouldn't bite. That thing better get 40mpg for that kinda money..

I DID say he was talented... :angel9:  I do mean that part, he's better at it than I ever will be.  But that's a lot of coin for any turkey call. :o
