Just wanted to share these comments with you guys.
Read these and you will see how hunts such as this not only touch the hunters on these events but the guides as well.
If you have ever deliberated over whether to assist on a Wheelin' hunt then the following should clear any doubts you might have.

Here are some comments from a few of the hunters:

"This hunt recharges my batteries for the whole year."

"It's like being at a family reunion."

"It was truly a "team-up" effort."

"This hunt provided what hospitals and clinics can't offer--therapy for the soul!"

From the wife of one hunter: "It's like you flipped a switch. He's been depressed for months. He would just set in the house and not say a word, now he's talking and wants to go outside."

Comments from some of the guides:

"I have been blessed to be able to hunt for nearly fifty years. To be able to assist someone who may not be able to hunt without help was very humbling. It was easy to see the joy in the hunters faces as I listened to their stories about their hunt.  They were no different than any other hunter who went out for the day and had an exciting adventure to tell."

"This hunt was the highlight of my hunting season, I really enjoyed the whole day and got a blessing from participating."

"These folks appreciate everything about the hunt... things that I frequently take for granted. This hunt provides me the chance to share the woods with some great people and puts things back in the right perspective.  All the hunters at the event say "Thank you!"... but I think we should be the ones that say to them, "THANK YOU!!"

"The idea of introducing someone to the sport of turkey hunting and the fellowship are key for me. Not to mention the joy I feel personally having taken someone who otherwise might not have a chance to do so.

"It is a real opportunity for me to reflect upon all that is good in my life and all the opportunities God has given me."

"When I see all the struggles these hunters face each day and the courage with which they face them, I am inspired to not let life get me down."

"As I hear the stories and see firsthand how each person overcomes the obstacles that they face each day it truly inspires me to accept the obstacles that I face in life and to smile in the face of adversity."
