There is another thread running concerning "piggies".  I spent some time yesterday researching Florida's hog situation.  On private land they are in season 24/7/365.  Shoot all you want.  On the WMAs they are regulated to an extent.  99% of the time on private holdings they are shot on sight.  They can legally be left on private land as a buzzard buffet if desired - landowners choice.  It is not thought of as wasteful since they have the same status as rats and coyotes.  In Florida I can find no "donate to a food bank" system in place for hogs.  If there are they are not publicized. I know these are common in northern States with short deer seasons and cooler temperatures.  Anyone shooting a hog this week in central Florida would be facing a gut and drag job in 90 degrees with high humidity.  Won't happen and the vultures are thankful for it.
There are some "hunting" operations that do canned pig hunts in high fenced enclosures.  I'm sure they will process the meat for a fee.   Not part of this discussion.   Those pigs are trapped elsewhere and then let loose inside a fenced area.  Krogers or Publix much easier but everyone has to make a buck.
I always have pictures - old pictures, happy to say I'm now 40# lighter, didn't want to mistaken for one of the piggies.  We don't leave them all for the buzzards.  Lol.
