Day 1 wasn't as good for me. I heard no gobbles, saw nothing all morning except a coyote and three deer. I had all the rain and mud I could handle. Went back out in the after noon on another property around 1 and ended up killing a coyote that had good intentions on eating my hen decoys but the #4's stopped him. :happy0064: Later around 6:15 pm I had a lone hen cross in front of me, inside of 10 yds. This morning (Thursday) I saw 1 jake. The rain started again, the wind is blowing 30 mph and I am going to try something else again tonite.

Sounds about like my day yesterday in central IN. Didn't see or hear a thing except for the quad on the other side of the property (same woods) really close to me doing some mushroom hunting :(

The turkeys travel around a lot between a few small woods in the area and I only have permission on a couple so the hard part is finding them! Good luck to ya up north!

good deal, what broadhead are you shootn them turkeys with?

I am a fxed blade guy and have killed turkeys with fixed blades before, but I wanted to try a big mechanical this year. Shot him with a 2 blade Rage.

Congrats!!  I love that Maxxis, I have a black one and love it.  I killed my first archery bird with it last Fall.
