just learning guys...would u buy the 26 or 28 inch barrel......and all you guys talk about long shots, how does the patterns look at 10 and 20 yds....which i know depends on chokes and shell combo.....myself,wife and 13year old will all use this dedicated turkey gun...we hunt out of blinds always because they cant seem to sit still enough....i have shot 5 turkeys seems regular at 15yds and she has missed 4x at 20-25yds,we fixed her prob. was her lifting her cheek off the stock to see the turkey head at the last minute, not good and son shot his first at 25yds,with only couple of flops...this all was done with remington 1100,20gauge,undertaker choke and #6,2 3/4 nitro remington shell...this gun only shoot 2 3/4 shells and want a gun that will reach out if need be and be able to shoot 3inch shells...any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated...thanks russ

I'd buy the 26" and put a scope or red dot on it. Like you said the pattern depends on the choke tube, shotshell and shot size.
If I had a dollar for every gobbler I thought I fooled I'd be well off!

shorter barrel for the blind... a reddot might help with check lifting and ease of aim for less experienced hunters.. pattern the gun a the range you want to shoot at, if your taking all shots under 25yds Id go with a more open choke
