Heading to Nebraska Friday.  Looking for advice on how to setup on birds that make their living in very open country.  Terrain is rolling with large cottonwoods in the drainages.

Guess correctly hahahaha.

Really as far as set ups I have no idea. Sometimes I'm wrong when I'm sure I'm in the right spot, and sometimes I'm right when "I don't like it". Somebody else might have more of a science than me. All
I can say is bring your spotting scope if you have one. The bird I killed in Nebraska I spotted on the tree toosted over a mile away. Use that open country to your advantage and use those optics.

I'll be hunting south central, so lots of prairie and cropland.  I just hope they're still gobbling/receptive when I get up there.  I bought a primos stake down blind in case I have to setup in open grassland.  Not sure how it will work/how the bird will react to it compared to a traditional popup blind.  I will bring a popup as well, but don't want to be toting it around if I need to be mobile, hence the reason for purchasing the stake down blind.
